Job Summary

You will be responsible for the general care and repair of a defined property or facility as a Caretaker. Your major responsibility is to assure the cleanliness, safety, and correct operation of the premises under your supervision. Your actions will contribute to a pleasant and well-maintained environment for its tenants or visitors, whether it is a residential property, public building, park, or other amenities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Property Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to keep the property in good condition. This includes cleaning and sanitizing common areas, repairing minor damages, and conducting regular inspections to identify issues that require attention.
  2. Groundskeeping: Maintain the outdoor areas of the property, such as lawns, gardens, and pathways. This involves mowing the lawn, trimming bushes, and ensuring that the landscape looks tidy and inviting.Chemistry Teacher
  3. Cleaning and Sanitation: Keep all areas clean and hygienic. This includes cleaning floors, windows, surfaces, and restrooms regularly to maintain a pleasant and safe environment.
  4. Security: Monitor the property to prevent unauthorized access and ensure the safety of its occupants or visitors. Report any security concerns or incidents to the appropriate authorities.
  5. Repairs and Maintenance: Handle minor repairs and maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs, fixing leaky faucets, and repairing small equipment or appliances. For major repairs, coordinate with contractors and report issues to the property owner or supervisor.
  6. Inventory Management: Keep track of cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment. Inform the supervisor or procurement department when supplies need replenishment.
  7. Health and Safety Compliance: Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a hazard-free environment. This may include conducting safety checks, identifying potential risks, and taking appropriate measures to address them.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is typically required.
  • Previous experience as a caretaker or in a related role is beneficial but not always necessary.
  • Knowledge of basic maintenance tasks and cleaning procedures.
  • Good communication skills to interact with residents, visitors, and fellow staff members.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to complete tasks in a timely manner.
